## FAQ

### How much does TixFox cost?

TixFox charges a flat $0.39 per ticket sold, regardless of ticket price. There are
no monthly fees, no setup fees, and no percentage-based charges. Free events are
completely free to host. Standard Stripe payment processing fees (2.9% + $0.30)
apply separately.

### Is TixFox cheaper than Eventbrite?

Yes, significantly. Eventbrite charges 3.7% + $1.79 per ticket, while TixFox charges
just $0.39 flat. For a $50 ticket, you save over $3 per ticket with TixFox. For
a 500-ticket event, that’s $1,500+ in savings.

### How does TixFox compare to other ticketing platforms?

TixFox offers significantly lower fees compared to most platforms. While Eventbrite
charges percentage-based fees, and platforms like TicketTailor, SimpleTix, Ticketspice,
and TicketSource have varying pricing models, TixFox keeps it simple with a flat
$0.39 per ticket. You also get instant payouts via Stripe instead of waiting days
or weeks after your event. If you’re currently using another platform and want to
try TixFox, you can set up a new event in minutes and embed it on your WordPress
site with this plugin.

### How fast do I get paid?

TixFox offers instant payouts via Stripe. Unlike other platforms that hold your
money until after the event, TixFox deposits funds to your Stripe account within
hours of each sale, following standard Stripe payout schedules (typically 1-2 business
days to your bank).

### Do I need a TixFox account?

Yes, you need to create a free account at [TixFox.co](https://tixfox.co) to get
an API key and manage your events. Account creation takes less than 2 minutes.

### Does TixFox work with WooCommerce?

TixFox works independently of WooCommerce and doesn’t require it. The plugin uses
native WordPress blocks (Gutenberg) to embed ticket purchasing directly on your
pages. This keeps your site faster and simpler than WooCommerce-based solutions.

### Can I sell tickets for recurring events?

Yes, TixFox supports recurring events, event series, and multi-day festivals. You
can manage all your events from one dashboard and embed any of them on your WordPress
site.

### Can I customize the appearance of the buttons?

Yes, you can change button colors, adjust sizes, modify border radius, and choose
whether to display the cart icon alongside button text. The blocks are designed
to match your site’s aesthetic.

### What WordPress version is required?

TixFox requires WordPress 5.8 or higher and PHP 7.4 or higher. It’s built specifically
for the WordPress block editor (Gutenberg).

### How does the ticket purchasing work?

For the Event Button block, clicking the button opens a modal with the TixFox ticket
purchasing interface. For the Event Embed block, the purchasing interface is embedded
directly on the page. Both options provide a seamless checkout experience without
leaving your site.

### Is there a mobile check-in app?

Yes, TixFox provides free iOS and Android apps for scanning QR code tickets at the
door. The app works offline, so you can check in attendees even without internet
connectivity.

### Can I use TixFox for free events?

Absolutely. Free events have no TixFox fees at all. You can collect RSVPs and registrations
without any charges.
